On 7 October 2022 we held our first big advocacy event under the slogan "I Can and You Can". The event was part of the "MOGA - Model for Early Education, Care and Active Participation" project, which the Health and Social Development Foundation implements within the framework of the Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria under the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
The event was held outdoors in the backyard of the "MIR" center at 14 Georgi Papanchev Str. in the Fakulteta neighborhood, and managed to attract over 300 children and parents. A variety of art activities, sports and development games were prepared for visitors.
At the demonstration tents "Patilantsi" and "Frozen Kingdom", children younger than 3 and from 3 to 5 years old did arts and crafts with the help of their parents. The "Sport is Health" tent was the place for sports activities. School-age children between 6 to 16 years old had a special tent designated for them named "Harry Potter".
The event also had a special "Flying Sofa Photo Station" where parents and children took keepsake photos to upload to Facebook with the hashtag #MOGA.
Special guests of the event were the project's advocates Georgi Borisov – a football coach, who joined the program and played football with the children, and Eileen Jaffer from the Trust for Social Achievement, who came with volunteer dental students and got involved with games themed ""Healthy Smiles for Pretty Photos."" Architect Magdalina Razheva held an architecture workshop for children over 6 years old, making structures from wooden sticks and rubber bands. The "Sofiyska Voda" team held a session with the participants on the topic "Water is health". The most long-awaited moment for the children was the magician Valeri Ivanov - the Joker, who entertained the guests with fun tricks and games.
